December 21, 2023 – Left lock chamber in full operation

Today on December 21, 2023, the Left lock chamber was put into operation.

After almost five years, from today both Lock chambers are in operation and the Gabčíkovo Waterworks can once again serve all those who want and need to use the waterway to its full capacity.

We believe that by upgrading the Lock chambers in cooperation with CINEA, EC, Ministry of Transport of the SR, Metrostav a.s., Aquatis, a.s., Regotrans, spol. s r.o., SLOVENSKÝ VODOHOSPODÁRSKY PODNIK, štátny podnik we have achieved a common goal: to provide continuous and stable navigation conditions and ensure safe crossing through the both locks.
