During the modernization of the Lock chambers, various types of equipment were used. Due to the limited access to some of the objects, it was necessary to use a huge crane, which was used to place the parts of the Lower gates into the Lock chamber. These were gradually welded into their final form.

From April 2nd, 2024 the navigation through the RIGHT lock chamber at the Gabčíkovo Waterworks is interrupted.
Due to regular maintenance, repair works and inspection of the Right lock chamber, navigation through the right lock will be interrupted from the 2nd April 2024 until 11th July 2024.
The passage for vessels through the Gabčíkovo stage will be ensured through the Left
