On May 14, 2024, representatives from organizations focused on transport, water works and lock chambers from neighboring countries – Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, who have been supporting our project Upgrade of Gabčíkovo locks since the beginning and are interested in its realization, visited the lock chambers. At the beginning of the official part, the guests were welcomed in our new Infocentre in Gabčíkovo by Mr. Karol KAŽIMÍR, Director of Operation Division of Gabčíkovo Waterworks. Together with representatives from the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic, which is the beneficiary of the grant, they attended a tour of the modernized lock structures, which was led by our colleague Ms. Monika Takáčová. At the end of the visit, there was still room for questions and also exchange of views and valuable experiences on a wide range of issues.
