On 5 July 2017 the project „Upgrade of Gabčíkovo locks“ was presented at the 85th Annual Meeting of International Comission on Large Dams (ICOLD) in Prague. The presentation of the large modernization project was taken care of by Ing. Dušan Voleský, director of the technical department of the state enterprise Vodohospodárska výstavba. World experts at large dams learned more about a project that drew their attention also through leaflets during the 4-day event.
ICOLD meetings are among the largest events of their kind in the world, and each year the symposium hosts another member country. It associates experts on large dams from around 100 countries around the world.
