THE 52nd CONFERENCE WATER MANAGERS IN INDUSTRY HAS ALSO PRESENTED INFORMATIONS ON THE PROGRESS OF OUR EUROPEAN PROJECT

VODOHOSPODÁRSKA VÝSTAVBA, STATE ENTERPRISE  had the opportunity to present the progress of the European project “Upgrade of Gabčíkovo Locks” at the professional event Water managers in Industry, which is one of the conferences with the longest tradition in Slovakia. This year, it was held online due to the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Tomáš Klein, Director of the Technical Department of VV, š. p., presented to the participants the whole modernization process of the right lock chamber, which included for example, the replacement of the upper and lower gates, stabilization of the subsoil, modernization of, the mooring elements, the hydraulic system of filling and emptying of the chambers, or modernization of dynamic protections. The presentation was also enriched by videos of the upgraded units.

In the collection of professional papers from the conference (ISBN 978-80-971819-6-3) was published also a co-authored article by the employees of the Vodohospodárska výstavba, state enterprise, in which are professionally rated also partial results from the measurements of technical-safety supervision achieved within the works on innovation and modernization of the right lock chamber.
