The 56th annual CONFERENCE OF WATER MANAGERS IN INDUSTRY provided information on the sustainability of our European project

On 10-12 November 2025, we participated with the project “Upgrade of Gabčíkovo locks” in one of the oldest conferences in Slovakia, the 56th CONFERENCE OF WATER MANAGERS IN INDUSTRY, held in Vyhne.

 

VODOHOSPODÁRSKA VÝSTAVBA, STATE ENTERPRISE had the opportunity to present the impact of innovation and modernization of lock chambers on their operation. Monika Takáčová, Head of the Department of Operation of Construction Structures at VV, š. p., introduced the participants into the development of the Gabčíkovo Waterworks, presented the process of implementation of the project “Upgrade of Gabčíkovo locks“ – Innovation and modernization of navigation chambers to increase the safety and intensity of water transport at the Gabčíkovo Waterworks, and gave them a behind-the-scenes look by comparing the operation and condition of individual construction parts of the Gabčíkovo lock chambers before and after the implementation of our European project.
