VODOHOSPODÁRSKA VÝSTAVBA, ŠTÁTNY PODNIK, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, organized an international seminar on damn security. The seminar took place between October 7 and 11, 2019. Upon invitation of Ing. Daniel Kvocera, Director General of VV, š. p., the event was participated by representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia and representatives of the International Organizations – United National Economic Commission for Europe, OSCE Economic and Environmental Committee and International Water Assessment Centre IWAC.
The main program of the international seminar was located in Banská Štiavnica, which is significant due to its historical water management systems. Besides professional lectures, participants could attend various excursions including the visit to the Gabčíkovo Waterworks, where we presented our currently biggest modernization project – Update of Gabčíkovo Locks and we gave details about the project DaReM – Danube Rehabilitation Measures on the River Danube.
