PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT AT THE PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE IN POLAND

In September 2021, was held in Legnica, Poland the XIX. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SAFETY OF WATER STRUCTURES (TECHNICAL DAM CONTROL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE). The conference was organized by the Warsaw University of Technology, KGHM Polska Med, a. s., Institute of Meteorology and Water Management – National Research Institute and Department of Hydraulic Engineering of the Committee for Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

At the conference colleagues from Vodohospodárska výstavba, š. p., presented a paper by the authors: Kasana – Panenka – Porubčan – Takáčová: Performance of technical and safety supervision within the project Upgrade of Gabčíkovo locks.

Partial locking (hatching) through the lock chamber is relatively rare and happens only through the upper gate (segment).
