Following a successful 2025 season, the State Enterprise Vodohospodárska výstavba started cruises through the modernized lock chambers at the Gabčíkovo Waterworks on May 15, 2026. This year, the sightseeing cruises will be operated by the refurbished Ondava excursion ship from the SVP, š. p. fleet, which has undergone modifications to increase comfort and enjoyment of the cruise.

During the guided cruise on the ship Ondava, you will enjoy a unique view of the operation of the modernized lock chambers, the dynamics of the water, and the precise work of the water management staff. The Lock chambers were modernized as part of the Project “Upgrade of Gabčíkovo Locks” co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union.
