On June 15-16, 2023, was held at Štrbské Pleso the 15th International Geotechnical Conference organized by the Slovak Environment Agency (SAŽP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic (MŽP SR), Geotechnical Faculty of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and the Slovak Geotechnical Society. Through the presentation of VV, s. e. employee Ing. Monika Takáčová, a member of the project team, the participants had the opportunity to get interesting information about our project “Upgrade of Gabčíkovo Locks”, which is co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union. The participants got a lot of factual and also interesting information about the locks chambers from their putting into operation in 1992, through the start of our project in 2019, the progress of the work over the years, up to its current state.
