VODOHOSPODÁRSKA VÝSTAVBA, ŠTÁTNY PODNIK (VV, š. p.), again this year took part in the CONECO Trade Fair, which was held from 27 to 30 March 2019 for the 40th time. The trade fair also included the 29th year of the RACIOENERGIA Trade Fair and the 6th year of the VODA exhibition. A new item from VV, š. p., was the expanded large-scale installation on European projects that VV, š. p., took part it.
Thus, VV, š. p. had in the stand of the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, together with the ministry’s organizations, a unique opportunity to present its history, its traditions in the field of beneficial construction of waterworks, and water management in Slovakia as a whole, as well as projects relating to improving the conditions for a healthy environment and current European projects. Thanks to the 3D installations visitors could also learn more about the functioning of floating canal at the Gabčíkovo water works and about the project “Innovation and modernization of the canal locks of the Gabčíkovo water works”, which is of strategic importance for operation of the water works, since it increases the safety and smoothness of the passage and also has a positive influence on the intensity of water transport on the Slovak section of the Danube.
At the VV, š. p. stand we at the same time explained another European project to visitors: “DaReM – Danube Rehabilitation Measures”, which VV, š. p., is taking part in with the Slovenský vodohospodársky podnik, š. p. The primary aim of this project is ensuring the permanently sustainable conditions of the shipping way on the international water route of the Danube and ameliorating the negative impacts of sedimentation in the Hrušov reservoir between rkm 1845 up to rkm 1868, as well as increasing anti-flooding measures, improving conditions for living organisms (fish, birds, amphibians, etc.) and improving the flowing of underground waters.
We also could not leave out current information on the project “Bridge construction for pedestrians and cyclist at Dobrohošť – Dunakiliti”, which will ensure free movement of persons in the border region for the purpose of work or leisure-time activities and will also help with further development of tourism while strengthening cross-border cooperation.
Nearly 450 exhibitors from 8 countries presented themselves at the jubilee 40th year of the CONECO Trade Fair, 29th year of the RACIOENERGIA Trade Fair and 6th year of the VODA exhibition.
